This is the first ever national competition in Turkish Football.
It was held first time in 1924 in Ankara.
The competition is played in knock-out elimination and in several editions, the Final Four played each other in groups at neutral venues.
It started as amateur championship for all Turkish regional leagues.
When the professional leagues started in Turkey, the competition kept its amateur status.
The competition became the promotion spot to the professional leagues after 1990. When there were more than one promotions, the competition started ending when the amateur clubs gained promotion to the professional leagues before playing the final stages.
The competition was cancelled when BAL - B�lgesel Amateur League is established.
