Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a Societies’ Print Judge? Or what makes a photograph award-winning material? Well, we are now giving you the opportunity to find out! This is your personal invitation to join us for The Judging School!
Qualification Assessment Day – TBA
Judging School – TBA
During this unique and informative two-day school, we will cover:
The qualities we look for in professional judges
The rules and procedures of panel judging
The 10 Elements
Etiquette and elocution
The importance of positive judging
The specifics of print quality
In addition to the above topics you will get the chance to take part in the ‘mock-judging’ of both physical prints and digital images, so you will leave feeling confident in your new abilities!
This course fills one of the requirements needed to be considered as an approved Societies’ Judge. Although you do not need to hold any current qualification with The Society of Photographers to take part, a Fellowship must be attained (within three years) and further training will be given online before your approval is finalised.
To aid you in your judging journey we are also offering the opportunity for you to submit a panel of work for consideration. If you would like to be considered as a judge for The Society of Photographers Convention you must have completed your Fellowship before the Convention.
What is included in the price?
Two full days of training and a light lunch on both days.
