When David Wade and Hannah Pingree were friends and fellow College Democrats at Brown, they couldn’t imagine that a little more than a decade later, they’d be making major contributions to state and national politics.

Wade, who was CDA’s national president during President Clinton’s re-election, is now Chief of Staff to Sen. John Kerry and was Vice President Biden’s spokesman during the 2008 campaign. In 2009, Pingree became Maine’s Speaker of the House - making her the youngest state house speaker in the country.
