Four days after Ray Stevens and Greg Valentine's title victory, promoter David Crockett appeared on TV with a 16 millimeter film reel, saying that he was going to send it to NWA president Bob Geigle (the wrong man had been pinned in the match with Steamboat and Youngblood). Stevens and Valentine attacked Crockett and Stevens destroyed the film with a pocket knife.

Because the Brotherhood were unable to make a Dallas booking due to bad weather the NWA Board of Directors threatened to strip them of the titles if they didn't make the next Dallas card
The Brotherhood remained as champions and continued to defend the titles in New England (sometimes with Dukes Dalton substituting for the injured Erich Sbraccia)
Knuckles Nelson and Rick Fuller (subbing for Erich Sbraccia) retained the NWA World Tag Team Title by reverse decision over Team Extreme on June 10 in Dallas when referee Ric Manning was thrown out of the ring, and another referee counted the fall for Team Extreme. Manning re-entered the ring and reversed the decision, and then Team Extreme beat up Manning.

Styles defeated Kevin Northcutt and Joe Legend in a handicap match. Abyss was nowhere to be found. Earlier in the show, Styles saved El Leon from being beaten up by Abyss. Styles wanted a title shot at Jeff Jarrett. Don Callis agreed on the match, but said it was for the NWA World Tag Team Title with Abyss as Styles' partner.

Abyss beat A.J. Styles supposedly to get both tag belts on 02/25/2004 in 13:45 in Nashville, TN. The rule was that
the first person who put someone through two different tables wins. Each had put the other through a table. Lex Luger arrived and put Styles through a table. The referee, who had been out of action momentarily, saw Styles out and the table broken and awarded it to Abyss.
Styles then beat Abyss via DQ in 09:53 on 02/18/2004 in Nashville, TN, but that win was also controversial, so the titles were held up.
