Rain City Fencing Center is pleased to announce the return of the Rain City Super Youth Circuit in 2025! SYCs are national point events for Y10, Y12, and Y14 fencers. Fencers from all over the western US, Canada, and beyond are expected to compete.
Please read the following before emailing us about waitlists. This will likely answer your questions. We will not be making exceptions to this policy.
We will NOT be raising the cap on any events, as we currently are at maximum capacity. We will only admit fencers off of the waitlist if a registered fencer cancels their entry between now and April 24th.
On the day of each event, if there are any no-shows, we will admit waitlisted fencers that are present in waitlist order. Of course it is impossible to predict how many fencers may not show up, so we cannot guarantee any waitlisted fencers will be admitted.
If you decide you no longer want to be added to the event if a space opens up, please cancel your waitlist registration. If you are admitted off of the waitlist and are unable to attend, the standard refund policy will apply.
Doors open at 6:30 AM each day.
All times listed are close of registration. Fencing will begin within ten minutes of that time, so be prepared!
All events will be fenced as a single round of pools with 100% promoted to the direct-elimination tableau.
Medals will be awarded to the top 8 finishers in each event. National points will be awarded to the top 40% (rounded up) in each event.
On Thursday April 24th, we will be doing equipment checks in the evening from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
Minor athletes may be accompanied by one parent or guardian in the venue. All spectators and parents must remain in the lobby or upstairs on the mezzanine. Only athletes, officials, and coaches are allowed on the fencing floor.
All registrations and payments must be made through the USA Fencing site.
Registration and admin fees are non-refundable. To request a refund of event fees, send us an email. Refund requests must be received by Monday, April 28th. No refunds will be given after the tournament is complete.
Parking at the venue will be very limited. There will be a shuttle service running continuously from the Sonesta hotel to the venue. All fencers, including those from the Seattle area, are strongly encouraged to park off-site and ride the shuttle.
