The good tilings of life were there in abundance?venison, phea sants, partridges, wild and tame turkeys, &e.? and sold ai moderate prices. Our butchers, too, displayed upon their shambles some of the best beef ever brought 'o market; that of Mr. Crow ley, grazed and fed by Jos. Tidball and H. Rod ger-, of Fauquier county ; that of Messrs. John Y\ alker, Ilenry Walker, and W. D. Bell, grazed and fed by that prince of graziers, Jas. Parsons of Hampshire co. ; and that of Mr. Linkins, and Mr Wilson, gr zed and fed by A. A. Inskip, of llardv co ; fully sustained the well-earned repu tation of those gentlemen, and d d credit to the grazing and feeding counties of Virginia. They deserved praise for (be liberal manner in which they usually, and particula ly in this instance, endeavor to supply the market with the best stock hat can be purchased, and that, too, with out any increase in the price?a very important consideration. Our thanks to friend Crowley for the choice cut of the Fauquier beef, and we can assure him that it is, as it looks upon his stall, fit for a prince. JOHNSON made some movement, but whether aga list reporters or claimants, we could not distinctly hear. Mr. WISW made a special rei ort on the sub ject of the rule- and orders, which, on his mo tion, was ordered to he printed, Mr. BLACK, of Ga., sent to the Clerk's desk a paper which he desired to have read for information; after some objection by various members, the pa; er was read, and proved to be a resolution for the employing, and paying by the House, a regular corps of reporters, whose duty should be to correctly and literally report the proceedings of the Houee. The resolution was objec ed to, and, therefore, was not received. ORDERS OF THE DAY. Mr. ADAMS called for the regular business, and the discussion of the 25th rule was continued by Mr. WRIGHT, of la., who defended the right oi petition, as an original right, which depended neither upon constitutions nor edicts, but belonge to man as man. He had never seen a notice of a meeting, or call for one, of the Liberty party, or Abolition party, wlii h was not heralded as a meeting in behalf of the right of petition. He wished to have the issue changed. Do away with this rule, receive these petitions, and then let the question be no longer about the right of petition. Mr. STILES, of Ga. spoke next, and, of course, defended the 25th rule. He retained the floor until the morning hour expired. Executive communications were received, principally from the War Department, one in reference to the Florida Indians, and another about the Delaware Breakwater. One from the President covered a communication from Cheva lier D'Argais respecting the schooner Amistad. Mr. BLACK, of Ga., moved a suspension of the rules, to get in the resolution, above referred to, in reference to reporters. PRIVATE BILLS. Mr. THOMPSON, of Miss., moved that the House go into Committee of the Whole, and take up the calendar of private bills. A large number of private bills were read, and laid aside to be favorably reported to the House. And then the House adjourned. TO THE CRAFT.? Dr. McNAIR'S ACOUSTIC OIL.?Those deaf from infancy often receive, in a most miraculous manner, their hearing when they least expect it, by some trilling accident or event, which shows them how easily they might have much sooner had their hearing, and saved thomselves and their friends the pain of conversing in a loud tone, without pleasure, or of being neglected and shunned, to avoid that dis tress which is felt mutually by the deaf person and his hearers. How sacred a duty, therefore, it is that we use all necessary means to remove such an affliction, and enjoy the social qualities implanted in our natures! This EAR OIL has the effect so to re lieve the tension, and bring into us the natural action of the parts, so as to restore the hearing when lost or impaired. This is proved by so many and well-known eases, that, where known, it needs no praise. The great wish of the proprietor is, that each may speak to others of its uncommon virtues, till sufferers may know, arid be relieved and restored by its use. This will be done in all eases of recent DEAFNESS and many of long standing. ALL DEAF PERSONS should use this oil! It will relieve at once, or, if DEAFNESS is just commencing, will remove the cause and check its progress. Thosw who have been long deaf should continue its application a few weeks to hear well. Each lla^k lias full directions for use attached to it. AVOID ANY IMITATIONS.
