Today, the Taiwan News goes digital – digital multimedia, that is.

In response to the recent global trend of digital publishing, and after more than 62 years, the English-language newspaper is switching to an all-online format starting today, September 28.

Today the whole world will witness an electronic newspaper that leaves all others behind in its digital technology and multi-media capabilities.

Taiwan News will also launch its Taiwan News International Financial and Cultural Monthly magazine.

Yesterday, the Taiwan News held a press conference for domestic media and outlined the successes that have been achieved in multi-media.

A number of prominent VIPs and media reporters were invited to see first-hand the future of multi-media in Taiwan.

Taiwan News is working with I-Mei Multi-media e-Content Production & Marketing Co. to come out with this digital edition free of charge online, offering users a rich mixture of content that includes photographs, images and live action with animation for a creative and lively approach to presenting the news and latest information from around the world. Taiwan News President Jack Wong said that multi-media is the wave of the future in the world of news media, and that it is not only taking the lead among media outlets in Taiwan in going to an all-digital format.

It is also showing the whole world how delivering the news to the public can be done in an efficient and effective way.
